The Best Way to Prevent Death
Dr. Michael Greger, Director of Public Health for the US Humane Society and founder of NutritionFacts.org is now touring the country giving the above lecture entitled "Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death." He and his team have collected and examined all the published and peer reviewed medical literature (including controls and double-blind studies) pertaining to the top 15 causes of death among Americans. Amazingly Dr. Greger's team found that a simple change in diet prevented, and also usually reversed, 14 of them! The only cause of death unaffected by this dietary change was "accidental death," which by definition is impossible to prevent anyway. So what is this simple dietary change which can prevent and even reverse the leading causes of premature death!? Eliminate all animal products and consume only plant, or "vegan", foods. It's that simple.

All of this recent 'let's eradicate death' propaganda seems to be paving the way toward transhumanism A.K.A. the Borg...
Hey Spopes, eating healthy and compassionately has nothing to do with the Borg and Transhumanism. Transhumanism is about using nanobots, transplants and other technological means to solve biological problems. This video is about the health benefits of cutting animal products from your diet. Choosing to eat healthy and respect the freedom of all animals is a very positive act. Your attempt to link healthy, compassionate eating to Transhumanism propaganda is way off base.
i am on day 5 of a vegan diet, have tried and failed this about 50 times... but i feel GREAT now.
an egg found its way into one of my meals and although it was a small amount i definitly feel the difference and will look to totally elliminate this in the future.
i find eliminating diary to be the easiest and most important part of the vegan diet to immediatly feel better.
thanks to Eric and others on this site for constructively advising on the vegan diet!
Glad to hear that Goskinsgo! The main reason people fail on a vegan lifestyle is that they don't get enough carbohydrate calories every day. Use Cronometer, make sure you get over 2,500 calories a day with at least 80% coming from carbohydrates (fruit's the best) and you'll be on the fast track to health and energy. The cravings really only come when you're under-carbed so being aware of that you can always stay carbed up. The transition phase is the most difficult because you have chemical, parasitic, bacterial, hormonal, and mental addictions to the animal products. Going from the Standard American high-fat (meat, dairy, eggs) low-carb lifestyle to a vegan lifestyle can be quite a shock to the system and you have to be patient with yourself. At some point there will be a detox phase, the more you clean up your diet/lifestyle the less willing your body will be to hold onto toxic cells/tissues so a variety of detox / withdrawal symptoms will arise. Anyway, thanks for the comment, keep on the healthy, compassionate, peaceful path bro!
